Cook Apprentice
Our chefs delight our guests with unforgettable culinary experiences through their dishes. Their expertise ranges from traditional home-cooked meals to international cuisine and haute cuisine. Cooking is an art that challenges creativity every day.
In this profession, it’s not just about cooking: as a cook | chef, you also create the menu, plan and organize the purchase of ingredients, manage the kitchen staff, and present dishes appealingly on plates or at buffets. Additionally, you are responsible for complying with food laws and hygiene regulations.
The apprenticeship duration for a cook | chef is 3 years.

The establishments of ZillerSeasons place great emphasis on fresh and regional ingredients, using organic quality whenever possible.
Our gourmet restaurant Heleni has been awarded two toques by Gault Millau and two forks by Falstaff. Malis Wilde Kräuterküche combines the beneficial effects of herbs with unparalleled flavor, while our restaurant DieMarie delights our guests with delicacies from Austrian cuisine. At Gut Stiluppe, we pamper our guests in our in-house restaurant as well as in our à la carte restaurant Stiluppe Stuben. We bake our own bread, make jams, and respectfully utilize animals 'from nose to tail.' An apprenticeship in the ZillerSeasons kitchen is the perfect start to your cooking career!
During your apprenticeship in the ZillerSeasons kitchen, you will receive your apprentice salary 14 times a year.

The profession of cook offers numerous specialization opportunities and serves as a good springboard for a successful career.
As a cook, you can specialize in various types of dishes:
Soups and vegetables – Potager, sauces – Saucier, roasts – Rôtisseur, cold kitchen – Gardemanager, egg and pastry dishes – Entremétier, fish – Poissonier, and desserts – Patissier. Your career path can lead to positions such as sous chef, head chef, F&B manager, or owner of your own restaurant, and even to becoming a world-renowned chef.

The profession of cook can also be learned simultaneously with the profession of restaurant specialist in the four-year training program for gastronomic specialists.
